The University of Delaware School of Marine Science and Policy’s popular Ocean Currents Lecture Series continues this month with a talk on offshore wind energy.
The lecture will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 19, in Room 104 of Cannon Lab at UD’s Hugh R. Sharp Campus in Lewes. The event is free, but reservations are required.
Delivering the lecture will be Drew Murphy, an executive vice president with NRG Energy. Murphy’s talk is titled “Offshore Wind in Delaware: Clean Energy from the Ocean.”
This is the final lecture in the 2010 Ocean Currents Series, which takes place once a month each summer at UD’s Lewes campus on Pilottown Road. Light refreshments are served at each hourlong lecture.
While the event is free, seating is limited and reservations are required. For reservations, or to check dates, times, and topics of upcoming events, contact Michelle Scorziello at mkscorzi@udel.edu or 302-645-4346.
