The University of Delaware’s Department of Geological Sciences has launched a redesigned web site that features useful information for everyone from prospective and current students to faculty, staff, and alumni.
Stop by the easy-to-navigate site, and you’ll find links to current news stories, highlights of current research, and faculty pages. You’ll see information about upcoming events, graduate and undergraduate programs, and learn about career opportunities in geology. Visitors will also see many striking images of students and faculty at work, including a field camp photo album.
Department Chair Sue McGeary, who led the redesign efforts, said that the new site is well timed. The department has had an exciting few years, which have included helping form the new College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment, renovating Penny Hall, and hiring new faculty members.
“This new web site now allows us to showcase our students and faculty at work and to provide important information about our academic programs and our goals for the future,” she said.
The department worked with Wilmington company Digital Eye Website Development to create the site.
