Heather Thomson

Research Assistant

Heather Thomson is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Marine Studies, with a concentration in Marine Policy. She is studying the total costs (including social and environmental) of electricity production, especially from wind, coal, and natural gas. In addition, she is looking at the environmental effects of fuel switching in the marine shipping sector. Previously she earned a Masters of Public Service and Administration and a Masters in Oceanography, both from Texas A&M University. She also has a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Lehigh University.
