Mark has years of experience in writing, editing and managing communications projects to share the impact of academic work with the public. Before joining the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment, he worked in development communications for The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, managed websites for a project of the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg Public Policy Center, and started his career as a newspaper reporter covering topics ranging from the environment to the census.
At the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment, Mark is focused on ensuring the full range of the college's work is effectively conveyed to prospective students, academic peers, and anyone interested in earth science.
Mark leads a talented and dedicated team in the environmental public education office, which assists in promoting and using public outreach to expand the impact of both the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment and the Delaware Sea Grant College Program.
