TIDE CAMP SUMMER 2013

Program Description

Students selected for the TIDE Program will come to the University of Delaware for two weeks from July 21-August 2, 2013 (Sun noon-Fri pm).

Attendees will gain exposure to two of the UD campuses, spending one week in Newark and one in Lewes. They will stay on campus from Sunday Noon to Friday afternoon, and interact with program faculty and staff in traditional classroom settings, in modern laboratory facilities, in the residence halls and on the beach.

The TIDE Program is an academic learning experience and participants are expected to participate fully in classroom experience and perform the work required outside the class too. Students will have the opportunity to visit the College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment research vessels and laboratories, collect samples in the Delaware Bay, design and run experiments, and present projects.
