Global Leaders

The College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment has charted its course to be a world leader in earth, ocean, and atmospheric sciences and related policy issues. CEOE faculty and staff collaborate in specialized centers within the college, in the University of Delaware research community, and at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute in Newark. These centers provide a focal point for interdisciplinary, cutting-edge research.

From Underground and Sea to Outer Space

Current areas of focused research efforts include real-time monitoring of environmental conditions, the development new energy technologies, the development of salt-tolerant crops from marsh grasses, critical zone management and study, new satellite-based techniques for monitoring coastal water quality and new integrated approaches for managing coastal and other ecosystems.
